Fund Grube is one of the main chain stores in the Canary Islands that specialises in the sale of different beauty products, lifestyle and fashion items including: Fragrances, Skincare, Makeup, Watches, Sunglasses, Jewellery, Leather goods, Shoes, Fashion and Tobacco.
With over 35 years of experience, this guarantees our team of over 700 professionals are dedicated to customer service and to continually offering a broad range of products that suit all tastes and seasonal trends. Fund Grube is aimed at all visitors and customers who want to cover any or several needs that relate to the categories featured in our offer, or who simply want to have an enjoyable shopping experience in one of our 50 stores distributed throughout neighbourhoods and tourist areas in: Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

In 1983, two brothers, Girdhari and Manu Chhabria from India, decided to launch their business activities in San Bartolomé de Tirajana by opening the first Fund Grube store: Cita (in the south of Gran Canaria), which offered something innovative within the perfume sector in Europe: it sold perfume over-the-counter via a “self-service” cabinet.

The opening of our stores
During the 90s, it started to expand with two new stores in Yumbo and Tropical, in the south of Gran Canaria. Always in search of the best tourist spots, we succeeded in opening stores in Boulevard Faro and Varadero in the 2000s. We continued by opening the first stores outside of Gran Canaria: Palm Garden, in southern Fuerteventura and Martianez in Tenerife.

Best Perfumery in Spain
In the years that followed, it sparked an unstoppable run of openings in new tourist locations, reaching the best communities in Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. This phase of expansion was backed up by different awards including the Best Perfumery in Spain in 2008, which was won again in 2013 and 2014, among others.

New design concept in stores
From 2010 onwards, a new design concept was launched in newly opened stores. At the same time, we tried new experiences in the “national” arena, targeting our local customers in the capital of Gran Canaria with the newly opened Fund Grube stores in Las Arenas and Mirador.
We entered a decade focused on expansion with the opening of 5 new stores, spread across Lanzarote and Tenerife. At this time, the launch of Walk by Fund Grube stands out as a unique space, targeting the world of shoes and accessories.
We reached 2020 with a total of 44 Fund Grube and Walk stores, added to which were two new franchises of AW Lab, a trend laboratory that aims to modernise urban style. With this new initiative, we are at the forefront of the Canarian commercial market dedicated to sporty styles, offering a high-quality modern range focused on current customers who are attracted by the latest trends in footwear, clothing and sports accessories, and complementing the offer of our WALK shoe chain which, alongside Fund Grube, has culminated in a fuller, more varied offer in the world of beauty and fashion in the Canary Islands.
